Honey Lime Shrimp

image Honey Lime shrimp is one of my favorite shrimp recipes. These shrimps have so much flavor, and are so simple and easy to make! I usually use the peeled and divined shrimp when I make these for myself, so that I don’t have to do extra work before popping them right in my mouth😌😋 But when I make these for guests or for a party I use the ones with tail on to make them more appealing. Also I love spicy shrimp, so I always add red pepper flakes to all of my shrimp, so if your like me then I definitely recommend to sprinkle some over the shrimp!

Serves 2 or 5-6 as a side dish


  • 1 pound shrimp- peeled and divined, tail on- optional
  • juice of 1/2 a large lime
  • 3-4 tbsp. of Honey
  • 1/6 cup olive oil
  • 2-3 tbsp. of flour( if you want to grill the shrimp then do NOT use any flour! It will burn the shrimp and make them super dry!)
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • zest of lime- optional
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • pepper flakes- optional but highly recommended!!


  1. Thaw, rinse and pat dry shrimp In a large bowl add olive oil, pepper flakes, garlic, lime zest, salt and pepper to your shrimp and mix well
  2. add honey and lime juice. Mix well again.( make sure sauce isn’t runny and coats the shrimp)
  3. Add 2 tbsp. of flour. Mix well. Add more flour if needed to coat better.( flour helps the sauce stay on shrimp when cooking)
  4. Place the shrimp with all the sauce in a Ziploc bag and close tightly letting all the air out. Place in fridge to marinate for ATLEAST 3 hours but no more then 12 hours.
  5. Switch sides occasionally to make sure all if the shrimp are getting marinated well.
  6. Once shrimp have marinated, heat up a large skillet on medium heat. No oil needed! ( shrimp already have olive oil)
  7. cook shrimp with all the sauce  for about 1 min per side, or until shrimp are ready.

Slow cooker Pork chops with Mashed Potatoes and Gravy

I love, love comfort food!❤️ This is one of my favorite slow cooker recipes! So tender, flavorful, and so simple to make. The best part is that you just toss it all into your slow cooker and forget about it for half a day. Add some mashed potatoes to make it a dinner meal!



Serves – 4

Ingredients: Pork chops and gravy

  • 4 bone in or out pork chops ( bone in-tends to get more flavorful)
  • 1 envelope chicken or pork gravy- gravy
  • 7 ounces chicken broth- gravy
  • 2 tbsp. cream of chicken or mushroom -gravy
  • 1/2 Onion – gravy
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream- gravy
  • 1/2 cup water-gravy
  • 1 tbsp. minced garlic- gravy
  • salt pepper optional- gravy

Mashed potatoes ingredients

  • Potatoes large 5-6
  • salt and pepper
  • cream cheese 2 ounce
  • sour cream 2 tbsp
  • heavy cream 1/4 cup
  • fresh parsley or basil chopped or minced



  1. Rinse and pat dry pork chops and place in slow cooker
  2. Make the gravy- first chop up onion
  3. In a large saucepan add chicken broth, heavy cream, water and let come to boil
  4. Add 1 envelope chicken or pork gravy and mix well
  5. Add cream of chicken or mushroom and union mix well again
  6. Add minced garlic and onion.
  7. Taste and see if salt pepper needed. Should be perfect to taste.
  8. Pour the gravy into slow cooker and turn on low for 5-6 hours
  9. Now forget about your pork chops for the next 5-6 hours.
  10. 30 min before pork chops are done start on mashed potatoes
  11. peel and clean potatoes. Cut into 4 pieces each and place into pot.
  12. Add water to pot to fill just to the top of potatoes, Add 1/4-1/2 tbsp. of salt and mix.
  13. cook on medium heat.
  14. While potatoes are cooking in a small pan add cream cheese, sour cream, heavy cream, and fresh parsley or basil. Mix well and let it come to a boil.
  15. Once potatoes are soft. Use a hand mixer or a masher to mash up the potatoes.
  16. Add the sauce we made for potatoes and mix again until well combined. This sauce makes the potatoes so creamy. Yumm!!
  17. Once pork chops are done. on a plate place some potato, pork chop and gravy over both. The more, the better!!😋😋☺️
